Privacy policy

How we handle the personal information you share with us.

Last updated: 14 October 2026

Who we are

Toronto Podcast Company ("we", "us") produces video and audio podcasts in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. This policy covers torontopodcastcompany.ca and the contact methods linked from it. You can reach us at hello@torontopodcastcompany.ca.

What we collect

We collect only what you choose to send us:

  • The session request form: your name, email address, phone number (optional), which studio, session length, preferred month, day and time, address or area for an on-location recording, your message, and the page you sent the form from.
  • Email and WhatsApp: whatever you send us, plus the details those services show us, such as your email address or WhatsApp name and phone number.
  • Visiting the website: this website does not use advertising trackers or analytics cookies. Our website host, Cloudflare, processes each request and may keep technical logs such as IP address, the page requested and the time.

Why we use it

  • To reply to your request and plan your session.
  • To provide the services you book and deliver your files.
  • To keep the business records we are required to keep, such as invoices.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Who we share it with

Only the people and services needed to run the business: our email provider, WhatsApp (Meta), Cloudflare (website hosting) and Web3Forms, a form delivery service. When you send the request form, Web3Forms passes your submission to us by email. We keep it as described under "How long we keep it" below.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries that don't turn into a booking for up to 2 years. We keep client and invoice records for 6 years, as Canadian tax rules require. Project files (footage, edits and clips) are handled separately: see Turnaround and delivery on our pricing page.

Your choices

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, and you can withdraw your consent to us contacting you. Email hello@torontopodcastcompany.ca and we'll respond. In Canada, private-sector privacy is covered by federal and provincial law, including the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). If you are not satisfied with how we handle your information, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Links to other sites

This site links to WhatsApp, Instagram and Google Maps. Those services have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for how they handle your information. The sample videos on some pages show a thumbnail loaded from YouTube's image server; YouTube's player loads only if you click play.

Children

This website is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The current version is always on this page.
