Our podcast editing cost is simple: $50 per episode for a simple edit and $250 for an advanced edit, plus HST. The right choice depends on how much the conversation needs changing.
Quick answer
A simple edit ($50) keeps the conversation as recorded and cuts the cameras to whoever is speaking. An advanced edit ($250) also removes mistakes and adds your intro, outro, logo and b-roll. Clips are ordered separately.
What each edit includes
A simple edit gives you mastered audio synced to video, with camera angles cut to whoever is speaking. It is usually ready within 24 to 48 hours. This works for a clean discussion that does not need sections removed.
An advanced edit includes that work plus mistake removal, your intro, outro and logo, and any b-roll you provide. Turnaround is typically two to five business days once we have your files and notes.
For example, if a speaker repeats an answer and you want the first attempt removed, that is advanced editing. If you want the conversation left as recorded, with the picture switching between speakers, simple editing fits.
Our podcast editing service covers both options. Tell us what needs changing rather than asking for a more polished episode; a specific request gives us a clear brief.

Send a clear editing brief
Give us the approved assets and one agreed set of notes. If several people review the recording, combine their comments before sending them. Conflicting instructions leave the intended result unclear.
For an advanced edit, send:
- Your intro, outro and logo files.
- Any b-roll, with a note about where it belongs.
- Timestamps for mistakes or repeated sections to remove.
- Correct spellings of names and specialist terms.
- A clear label for the episode and intended final version.
Write notes that name the exact change: remove the first answer and keep the complete second attempt. A timestamp and a clear instruction are more useful than asking us to make a section tighter.
Choose b-roll because it explains something. Footage that has no connection to the discussion adds distraction, not clarity. Keep a copy of the original assets so your next episode uses the same approved branding.
Once the edit arrives, leave time for your own review and upload preparations. A deadline for publication needs to include that work as well as our delivery window.
Footage recorded elsewhere
We also edit external recordings. Simple edits from $75, advanced edits from $275, clips by quote. Message us first so our team can check the files before you plan around a confirmed price.
Keep the original camera and audio files, and explain which ones belong together. If there is a problem with the recording, tell us what happened. Distorted sound or missing material can limit the result; editing cannot create an answer that was never captured.
File organisation matters here. A folder with clear episode and source labels lets us understand the recording without guessing which take you want used.

Common questions
How will you receive the finished files?
We deliver through Dropbox. Links are active for seven days and projects are kept up to 30 days after delivery, so save your own copies promptly.
Do you need background music?
No. A spoken conversation can stand on its own. If you plan to supply music, confirm that you have the rights to use it and explain where it belongs.
Should you keep the unedited recording?
Yes. Save the original alongside the approved episode, with clear labels for each. That keeps your source material available if your content plans change.
Message us on WhatsApp with your recording details and the edit you have in mind.
